GROUP NETWORKING ACTIVITIES ​

​With our off-site group networking opportunities, you'll get the very best of conference networking. Choose from six group activity options on Monday afternoon: Golf, E-Bike Tour, Microbrewery Tour, Carlsbad Walking Food Tour, Resort Ocean View Pool, San Diego Catamaran Cruise. 

All group networking event registrations are completed through the conference registration form, and details for each activity are listed below. If you have already registered for the conference and want to sign up for an activity, please contact us at [email protected].  Mortgage Servicer, Investor & GSE attendees receive a complimentary pass to one networking activity of your choosing. 

All group activities, except for Golf and the Pool, will be held offsite.  Round trip transportation will be provided by shuttles for offsite activities.

GOLF | $445

ANSWERS 2026 Golf Activity - Presented by Global Strategic

Tee off at the only Arnold Palmer, signature-designed golf course in coastal California. Our Carlsbad resort’s golf club is home to remarkable Batiquitos Lagoon nature preserve views and the Aviara Golf Academy.  Named the #1 golf resort in Southern California by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler and recognized as one of the country’s best resort golf courses by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.  Aviara Golf Club features a memorable coastal layout: Uniquely sculpted around rolling hillsides and landscaped with wildflowers native to Southern California, the par 72 course offers plenty of bunkers and water features over 7,007 yards.   

The Aviara Golf Club is located 5-10 minutes from Park Hyatt Aviara, with a full golf pro shop for any supplies you need.  Shuttles will be provided to transport golfers from Park Hyatt Aviara Resort to Aviara Golf Club at 11:50 AM, and departing Aviara Golf Club around 5:30 PM to return golfers to Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
 
You will be playing in 3-4 person team scrambles, 2-putt max on each hole (no mulligans), Par max on each hole.  Shotgun start at 12:30 PM, you will need to be at the course by 12:00 PM and may proceed directly to your carts (no golfer registration at the course). All golfers are required to conclude play by 5:30 PM, in order to make it to the evening dinner in time. 

Beverage cart will be available and beer, seltzers and other non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks are covered by ALFN (other items may be purchased at your own cost).  You may also get food & beverage items at Ember & Rye restaurant at the golf course (located upstairs from the clubhouse). 

Prizes will be given for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placing teams and Contest Holes. Contest holes will be: Hole-in-One (Hole #11), Longest Drive Men's (Hole #8) and Ladies (Hole #17) & Closest to the Pin Men's (Hole #14) & Ladies (Hole #3). Names of all winners will be displayed on an easel sign at Monday evenings dinner.  Any prizes will be shipped after the conference concludes, no awards ceremony at the conference. 

No golfer registration is required at the course, proceed to the golf shop to get any golf supplies, or proceed directly to your golf cart that will be labeled with your names. 

Golf Club Rental is $150 (purchased through the ANSWERS conference registration form), and comes with 6 golf balls and a golf glove). If you forgot to get a rental set on your ANSWERS registration form, you can purchase golf club rental sets if extras are available with the course directly in the golf shop.  Addidas golf shoe rental available for $25 and can be obtained at the golf shop.​

Dress Attire – All golfers must wear golf shirts with collars.  Shorts are permitted (please, no higher than 4” above the knee).  Denim is not permitted.  Golf shoes with metal spikes are not allowed.  Please understand that players who do not have the proper attire will not be given access to the course.

north county microbrewery tour | $415

North County is where most of the “top dogs” in the craft brewery industry got their start, and this tour will include a few of them.

You will be picked up on 6-wheel Pinzgauer Safari Vehicles and we will visit 2-3 breweries in the Oceanside area, including Stone Brewing, Rip Current, and Oceanside Brewing Company. You will partake in beer tastings and enjoy light bites at each of the brewery stops, plus beers and water on board the transportation vehicles.
 
What to wear and bring with you: Bring ID & form of payment for any additional purchases, wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather.

COastal solana beach e-bike tour | $395

Solana Beach is a lovely beach town that captures the true essence of San Diego County. Come and explore this beautiful town from a local’s perspective. Solana Beach is filled with scenic views and great year-round weather. We believe the best way to visit this town is to explore it on an e-bike! 

Guests will ride on Rad Power or Electra Townie Go bikes for this one-of-a-kind tour (90 minutes of riding time). These are electric bikes, so the electric motor assists with your pedaling. Following the ride, ALFN guests will enjoy a social atmosphere with drinks and light bites at the Brigantine Del Mar Restaurant (1-1.5 will be spent hours at the restaurant).  Water is available on the bus.
 
What to wear and bring with you: Bring ID & form of payment for any additional purchases, wear comfortable closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather.  Sunglasses and sunblock are recommended.  Helmets will be provided.
 
Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  275 lb. max rider weight capacity.

san diego catamaran cruise | $275

​With 34 miles of scenic waterfront, catamaran sailing in San Diego has so much to offer with the rugged cliffs of Pt. Loma and its historic lighthouses, the beautiful skyline of downtown and charming Seaport Village, the Maritime Museum with one of the world’s finest collections of historic ships, and the elegant Coronado Bridge and historic Hotel Del Coronado above scenic Glorietta Bay and the Navy’s Pacific Fleet. Sea lions, dolphins, and even the occasional whale can also be seen in the Bay.  We will have a private charter on the Aolani catamaran.

Wine, beer, hard seltzer, non-alcoholic beverages and light appetizers are provided on the 2-hour cruise.  Water is available on the bus.
 
What to wear and bring with you: Bring ID & form of payment for any additional purchases, wear appropriate clothing for the weather that day, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Hat.  If you are prone to motion sickness, please take the necessary precautions as this is a large boat that will be on a large body of water that may get choppy at times.

aviara Resort ocean view Pool | $395

Embrace the warmth and sunshine of the Carlsbad coast at The Ocean View Pool (Adult Only Pool) at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, offering a relaxed setting featuring six spacious, private cabanas set against the backdrop of the Batiquitos Lagoon and Pacific Ocean.   

The Ocean View pool will be closed to resort guests and only open to ALFN ANSWERS attendees who signed up for this activity.  Six cabanas will be available for your use and each fits up to 8 people with an L-shaped couch and 2 lounge chairs inside each Cabana, including a mini-fridge, fan and TV (Cabana’s are first-come first-served, and you may not reserve spots for others in the Cabanas).  If the Cabana’s are full, you may use any of the 80 lounge chairs around the pool area. Towels are available at the pool. 
 
You may get food & beverages from the bar we will have set at the pool.  Please show your wristband that you will be provided by the ALFN when you register for the conference to the bar attendant to receive drinks.
 
What to wear - Swim attire or other appropriate leisure attire, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.

carlsbad walking food tour | $285

Embark on your food-focused excursion at locally owned establishments where you can savor some of the best food and drink that Carlsbad has to offer.

To complement your foodie exploration of each destination, your guide offers interesting commentary about the lovely Victorian architecture and old-fashioned storefronts that fill downtown Carlsbad. Guests also receive the Carlsbad Tasting Guide, which features local maps and exclusive discounts and coupons to give you special access to Carlsbad’s unique, artisan food scene.

This tour includes tastings at five restaurants.  Water is available on the bus and at each restaurant stop.  The group will be broken down into smaller groups.

What to wear and bring with you: Bring ID & form of payment for any additional purchases, wear appropriate clothing for the weather that day, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen.

• 1:00-1:15 PM – Load shuttles at Park Hyatt Aviara front entrance

• 1:15-1:30 PM – Transportation to Carlsbad Village

• 1:30-1:45 PM – Arrive at the Carlsbad Village Fountain for Instructions (corner of State Street & Grand Avenue)

• 1:45-2:15 PM – Tasting at Village Kabob: Mezze Sampler Tasting.  Village Kabob offers a one-of-a-kind Mediterranean fusion eatery. Familiar menu with Mezzes and Spreads. Water provided (additional drinks may be purchased separately)

• 2:15-2:45 PM – Tasting at Fresco Cocina: Rib Taco & Margarita Tasting (1 four ounce margarita).  Fresco Cocina serves a modern interpretation of Mexican cuisine.  Water provided (additional drinks may be purchased separately).

• 2:45-3:00 PM – Explore Carlsbad Village: Walk through Carlsbad’s scenic and historic sites.

• 3:00-3:15 PM – Explore the Carlsbad Village Mural Art: See vibrant murals that tell Carlsbad’s story.

• 3:15-3:45 PM – Tasting at Gregorio’s Italian: Eggplant Parma Tasting.  A casual Italian dining experience. Water provided (additional drinks may be purchased separately).

• 3:45-4:00 PM – Tasting at Gelato Love: 4 Flavors of gelato to taste.  Gelato Love blends the most authentic art of gelato making with top quality ingredients. Water provided (additional drinks may be purchased separately).

• 4:00-4:30 PM – Tasting at Pure Project: Beer (2 five ounce pours) or Wine (1 six ounce pour). Water provided (additional drinks may be purchased separately).

• 4:30-4:45 PM – Board shuttles at Carlsbad Village to return to the Park Hyatt Aviara

• 4:45-5:00 PM – Transportation to the Park Hyatt Aviara
