ANSWERS GROUP NETWORKING ACTIVITIES 


​With our off-site group networking opportunities, you'll get the very best of conference networking but in relaxed, historic, or interactive local settings. Choose from six main options on Monday afternoon: Horseback Riding, Jeep Tour, Hybrid Bike Tour, Iron Chef, Sandia Peak Tramway or Golf at the Twin Warriors Golf Club at the Hyatt. All group networking event registrations are completed through the conference registration form, and details for each activity are listed below. If you have already registered for the conference and want to sign up for an activity, please contact Susan Rosen.  For ANSWERS 2022, mortgage servicer attendees receive a complimentary pass to one networking activity. 
Conference & Activities Registration

Golf - Twin Warriors golf Club | $210

MONDAY, JULY 18, 1:00 PM Shotgun Start (arrive at the course by 12:30PM)

We will be playing at the Twin Warriors Golf Club at the Hyatt Tamaya. Twin Warriors Golf Club is eighteen holes of high desert, championship golf routed in and around 20 ancient cultural sites of previous habitation and activity. The course has beautiful grassy knolls and ridges dotted with Juniper and Pinon Pine. Wonderful dry washes known as arroyo's and eroded land features, along with the sacred butte known as Tuyuna or "Snakehead" complete a picture framed by spectacular views of the Sandia Mountains.

You will be playing in 3-4 person team scrambles (best ball).  Shotgun start 1:00PM, play should conclude around 5:30 PM. The golf club is located on the Hyatt Tamaya property, but golf carts will be running by your request at the Valet in the afternoon to transport you and your clubs.  Beverage cart will be available during play. Prizes will be given for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placing teams and Contest Holes. Contest holes will be: Hole-in-One, Longest Putt, Longest Drive Men's and Ladies & Closest to the Pin Men's & Ladies. Any prizes will be shipped after the conference concludes, no awards ceremony at the conference.  No registration required at the course, proceed to the golf cart staging area.  Club rental is $65 (purchased through the ANSWERS conference registration form). No shoe rental available.​

Dress Attire – All players are required to wear appropriate golf attire. Collared shirts or mocks are mandatory for men. Denim blue jeans, tank tops without sleeves, tee shirts, jogging or gym shorts, cut-offs, halter tops or bathing suits are not permitted. Shirts must be worn at all times. Golf shoes with soft spikes or tennis shoes are acceptable. Bare feet, flip-flops, and baseball or track-style cleats are not acceptable.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY - COME PREPARED FOR THE HEAT

iron chef | $230

MONDAY, JULY 18, 1:30-3:30 PM
  Everyone will be divided into teams of 5-6 people, and each team will compete for the best tasting salsa or guacamole (half of the teams will make salsa, the other half guacamole), then all of the teams will make Margaritas.  The Resort Chef will first demonstrate how each item is made, and then each team will gather their ingredients to make their designated item(s) and compete to be the ANSWERS Iron Chef.  Judges will decide our Iron Chef winners based on taste and presentation.  Everyone wins with this activity by enjoying an opportunity to network with your colleagues while learning to make these classic Southwestern favorites!

Accommodates 72 people.​ We will have some fun games and prizes awarded for the best entries. A bar will be setup to enjoy some refreshments while enjoying this fun teambuilding activity.

INDOOR ACTIVITY - ENJOY THE AC 

JEEP TOUR | $210

 MONDAY, JULY 18, 1:30-5:30 PM

The Land of Enchantment abounds in opportunities to explore the mysteries of its ancient past and wonders of its landscapes. On your 3 hour tour, you will visit Ancestral Puebloan ruins, petroglyphs, and the ruins of a Spanish land grant town.  You will also see painted hills, sea life fossils and perhaps a glimpse of the wild horses wandering the dry, winding paths of the high desert.  New Mexico Jeep Tours has been given exclusive access to all of this and more on a beautiful 20,000 acre private ranch nestled in the vast, southwest landscape between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We invite you to join us as we explore the hidden treasures this land has to offer.

Tour accommodates 13 people.  Departs the Hyatt main entrance at 1:30 PM.  Participants should wear comfortable clothing for warm weather and good walking shoes with closed toes and closed heels. Hats and sunscreen are recommended.  There are no restrictions, but participants should recognize that the tour takes place off road, so the ride can be bumpy at times. Bottled water and snacks are provided on the tour, but everyone is also welcome to bring along any drinks or snacks that they prefer.

PARTIALLY OUTDOOR ACTIVITY - COME PREPARED FOR THE HEAT
 

Hybrid bike tour | $210

MONDAY, JULY 18, 1:30-3:00 PM
Group participants should meet at Camp Hyatt by 1:30 PM.

This group adventure takes guests through the Bosque of Tamaya on a 3 mile ride using hybrid bikes (manual pedal bikes).  The tour will take approx. 1 hour.  Our guide will share information about Tamaya's ongoing restoration project and bee initiatives.  Bikers are rewarded for their cycling efforts with lovely views of the Sandia Mountains, Rio Grand River and the surrounding country side.  


Accommodates 15 people.  Participants should wear comfortable clothing for warm weather and good walking shoes with closed toes and closed heels. Hats and sunscreen are recommended.  Each participant is provided with an all-terrain bike, water and a helmet for safety.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY - COME PREPARED FOR THE HEAT

Horseback Riding  | $180

MONDAY, JULY 18, 1:30-3:30 PM
Tamaya Stables will pick-up participants at the Carriage Turnaround (behind Tamaya resort in back of the Corn Maiden restaurant) at 1:30 PM.  Participants will be returned to Tamaya by shuttles to arrive back by 3:30 PM.

A truly enchanting Southwestern experience, your peaceful ride will take you through the cottonwood trees that line the Rio Grande and Jemez Rivers. See the Pueblo back country, and meander along trails where history was made. Enjoy watching for abundant wildlife that is indigenous to New Mexico. View the spectacular scenery of the Sandia Mountains silhouetted against the New Mexico sky from horseback, as you embark on a unique guided trail ride through sacred Pueblo land. Trail ride will last approximately 60 minutes.


Accommodates 18 people.  Available for all skill levels.  Maximum rider weight is 225 lbs.  Riders 12 and under must wear a helmet, and riders 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent.  Participants are highly encouraged to wear long pants and must wear sturdy closed toes.  Hats and sunscreen are recommended.  Bottled water provided, however if you prefer to bring your own water or sports drink please do so.

sandia peak tramway | $125

MONDAY, JULY 18 | 1:00 - 5:30 PM

Coach bus will pickup our activity participants at 1:00 PM in the main Tamaya parking lot near the front entrance.  Participants will be returned to Tamaya by coach bus to arrive back by 5:30 PM. 

Travel east to the foothills of the Sandia Mountains for a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, one of the world’s longest free-span cable tramways! The 2.7-mile tramway ride to the top will take you through four of the seven life zones found in North America. Traversing these zones is equivalent to taking a trip from Mexico City to Alaska! Once atop Sandia Peak, at an elevation of 10,378 feet above sea level, you will marvel at the thousands of square miles of breathtaking scenery and panoramic views in all directions.  There will be time to explore once atop Sandia Peak and take pictures.  There is also a restaurant and gift shop at the top. 

Accommodates 54 people.  Deluxe motor coach transportation provided from the Hyatt with a professional tour guide and a round-trip flight on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway.  Bottled water on the coach bus will be provided.

YOGA | $0 
EVERY MORNING OF ANSWERS, 7:00-8:00 AM - SIGN UP REQUIRED FOR EACH DAY
Join our very own ALFN yoga instructor for a session of yoga each morning of the conference.  We will provide towels, water and mats to enjoy while getting your mind and body ready for the day. Yoga will be held outside in the Sunrise Amphitheater, just outside the back of the Hyatt property.
